Vermont DHIA has partnered with EarTagCentral (a subsidiary of National DHIA) to offer a variety of Animal ID tags.  Visual ID, electronic ID, RFID wands, taggers, and tagging accessories are available from name-brand companies, such as Destron-Fearing, Allflex, Farnam (Z-tags), and I.D.ology at very competitive prices.  American ID, Farm ID, and blank tags will be available to all producers. Those producers who already have a "Premise ID" code are eligible to purchase RFID (radio frequency identification) tags.

How it Works

You can either order tags directly online using a credit card or place your order through your Vermont DHIA technician.  In either case, tags will be shipped directly from the manufacturer to you, ensuring fast turn-around.

Ordering Online

First-Time Users / Registering

When you visit EarTagCentral for the first time, you will need to create an account ("registering" on the site).  Registering will allow you to see Vermont DHIA member prices for tags, tagging equipment, and accessories.  If you do not register, you will still be able to browse the site to see what sorts of tags and equipment are available, but you will only have access to non-member prices.  To create a new account, visit https://www.eartagcentral.com/register.php.

On the registration screen you will need to enter shipping, billing, and contact information and create a user-name and password for future use.  In the "Signup for Affiliate Pricing Level" field, please be sure to select "Vermont DHIA".  You will also need to enter our "Affiliate Verifcation Code", which you can get by calling our office at 1-800-639-8067.

Once you've created an account (registered), you can visit http://www.eartagcentral.com and log-in by entering your user name and password in the "Authentication" section on the right side of the page.

Using the Site

Once you've logged in to the site, you can browse by selecting a type of tag or tagging equipment from the "Categories" menu on the left side of the page.  You can also search for a specific item using the "Search" box in the upper-right corner of the page.  Once you've found an item, click on its name to see any custom options and colors that are available.  Click on "Add to Cart" to add the item to your shopping cart.  You can then either continue browsing for other items or you can select "Checkout" from the "Your Cart" section on the right side of the page.

From the "Checkout" page, you can verify your order and choose your shipping method and payment method.  You will not be charged and your order will not be placed until you have completed your "Checkout".

Ordering Through Your Vermont DHIA Technician

You can order tags on test-day through your Vermont DHIA technician.  If you do not have internet access, alert your technican prior to test-day that you would like to order tags and they can bring a catalog of available tags and equipment for you to browse.  Simply tell your technician which tags or equipment you would like to order, along with any special options (such as color and size) and they can place the order for you.  Tags will be shipped directly to you and you will be billed for your order.
