Publication and Member Lists

Vermont DHIA does not share our member lists. Herds may choose to have their herd averages published (if eligible) in Country Folks newspaper and be eligible for award recognition. All herds have the ability to opt-out of publication by choosing the "Non-Published" option on test-day (ask your DHIA technician).

For more information on Publish options, please see our "Publishing and Disclosure" page, here.

Records Disclosure

All herds must choose a disclosure method for their records - either Full, Limited, or No Disclosure - when becoming a member of Vermont DHIA. The method of disclosure indicates how each herd's records are shared with outside individuals and organizations. Herds may change their disclosure method at any time by contacting our main office and signing a new Records Disclosure Policy Agreement.

For more information on Disclosure options, please see our "Publishing and Disclosure" page, here.

Sharing Herd Records with Consultants or Other Third-Parties

Each herd is assigned a unique herdcode and a 4-digit remote access code (RAC) when they begin testing. The herdcode serves as a sort of "user identifier" and the RAC serves as a personal password to each herd's records. If a herd wishes to share their records with a consultant or other third-party, they can provide the third party with their herdcode and RAC code. Herdcodes are widely available, however Vermont DHIA does not share RACs for member's herds with consultants or other third-parties without the member's direct consent.

If you have shared your RAC with a third-party but no longer want the party to have access to your records, contact us and we'll be happy to change your RAC for you. If your RAC changes, you must alert all other third-parties who you still want to allow access to your records of the new number.
