Vermont DHIA

A Dairy Herd Improvement Association is an organization that provides testing and record-keeping services for dairy cows, goats, sheep, and sometimes even water buffalo. Members and non-members use our services to find out the level of milk production and components (amounts of butterfat, protein, and somatic cells) in their animals' milk and track health and reproductive information for their herds. Dairy producers use DHI records to make their herds healthier and more profitable and often share this information with various consultants who can also help make recommendations for improvement. For more information about Vermont DHIA, check out "About Us" menu at the top of the page.
